About King William
The land was originally farmland belonging to the Alamo mission, and developers acquired it in the 1840s. German immigrants built homes here in the later 1800s, and the main street was named King William Street after King Wilhelm I of Prussia.
The Cultural Landscape Foundation describes the neighborhood as covering about 65 acres between the San Antonio River, East César Chávez Boulevard, South St. Mary's Street and South Alamo Street.
Floor cleaning in King William: what to tell us
Tell us the floor type and the square footage, or send photos. If it is vinyl or LVT, tell us the brand, and tell us about any sealer, wax or finish put down before and any past water damage, since that changes what we can and cannot promise.
Before we arrive, clear small and fragile items off the floor and secure pets.
San Antonio Water System reports typical hardness around 15 to 20 grains per gallon, hard enough to leave a mineral film on tile and in grout, which is why a rinse matters more here than it would elsewhere.
If your floors are original to an older home or building, say so, along with any finish put down since.
