Overview

This page covers hard floor cleaning in Great Northwest. A mop moves water around; we use a cleaner chosen for the material, agitate the soil out of the low spots, and recover the rinse instead of leaving it to dry. Floors are priced by the square foot, with a job minimum, and sealing is an add-on.

The Great Northwest is an area of northwest San Antonio that, according to a San Antonio Report column, includes the Ridge Creek neighborhood.

Floors we clean

Tile and grout

Grout sits below the tile and holds soil that a mop pushes down. We agitate it out, then rinse.

Hardwood

Real wood, solid or engineered, with a finish on top. Cleaned with very little moisture and never steam.

Vinyl, LVT and VCT

Luxury vinyl plank, sheet vinyl, linoleum and commercial VCT, cleaned in line with the maker's guide.

Natural stone

Marble, travertine, limestone, granite and slate. pH-neutral products only, and a sealer where it helps.

Terrazzo

Marble or glass chips set in cement or epoxy, usually with thin metal divider strips.

Mixed floors, one visit

Tile in the kitchen, wood in the living room and vinyl in the laundry is one visit and one price, built from the square footage of each.

How it works

1
Get a price

Tell us the floor type and the square footage, or send photos, and we build the number with you. Large or commercial areas are quoted instead.
2
Pick a time

Choose a day and an arrival window. Booking is a request we confirm with you, not an automatic slot.
3
Test, clean, dry

We test a hidden spot first, clean section by section, then dry the floor before moving on.
4
Walk-through

You look at the floor with the technician before we pack up, and we leave care notes written for that material.

About Great Northwest

The San Antonio Report column describes the Great Northwest Community Center as a hub for activities such as a farmers' market, Gladiator Camp and line dancing.

City of San Antonio records from 2006 list the Great Northwest Community Improvement Association among the registered neighborhood associations in Council District 7.

Floor cleaning in Great Northwest: what to tell us

Tell us the floor type and the square footage, or send photos. If it is vinyl or LVT, tell us the brand, and tell us about any sealer, wax or finish put down before and any past water damage, since that changes what we can and cannot promise.

Before we arrive, clear small and fragile items off the floor and secure pets.

San Antonio Water System reports typical hardness around 15 to 20 grains per gallon, hard enough to leave a mineral film on tile and in grout, which is why a rinse matters more here than it would elsewhere.

Tell us what floors you have and where, and we will take it from there.

Do you clean floors in Great Northwest?

Yes, Great Northwest is one of the San Antonio neighborhoods we serve, for homes and businesses. Tell us the floor type and the square footage, or send photos.

What types of hard floors do you clean?

Tile and grout, solid and engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, sheet vinyl, linoleum, commercial VCT, natural stone and terrazzo.

How is floor cleaning priced?

Hard floors are priced by the square foot, with a job minimum, and sealing and finishing are add-ons. Prices vary with the property, the type of job and the location; the exact price is confirmed before work starts.

Why not just mop?

A mop moves water around and pushes soil down into grout and texture, where it dries along with the detergent. We use a cleaner chosen for the material, agitate the soil out and recover the rinse.

How often should hard floors be cleaned?

There is no honest fixed interval. It depends on traffic, pets, whether shoes come off at the door, and what the floor's maker recommends. We suggest a schedule after the first visit.

If something is not right, we will re-clean at no extra charge; the terms are on Our Guarantee. The full service is described on Floor Cleaning Services.
