Overview

This page covers air duct cleaning in Terrell Heights. The EPA does not recommend cleaning air ducts routinely, only as needed, and we make no health or energy-saving claims. If cleaning is worth doing, the price is based on what is there: supply vents, returns and systems.

Terrell Heights is a triangular area bounded by Eisenhauer Road, Austin Highway and North New Braunfels, in the middle of the City of San Antonio's Northeast Inner Loop planning area.

Neighborhood: Terrell Heights (northeast side)
Priced by: Vents, returns and systems
Scope: Ducts and registers, no cutting
Price: Confirmed before we start

When the EPA says cleaning is worth doing

Visible mold growth

Substantial mold growth inside hard-surface ducts or on other parts of the system. Mold remediation is licensed work in Texas, so if we find it we stop, show you and refer you to a licensed remediator.

Vermin in the ducts

Rodents or insects living in the ductwork. Pest control has to deal with the infestation first.

Excess dust and debris

Ducts clogged with dust and debris, or particles visibly coming out of the supply registers into the room.

How it works

1
Tell us what you have

How many supply vents, returns and systems your home has. That count is what the price is based on.
2
A straight answer

If your house does not need cleaning yet, we say so. The price is confirmed before we start.
3
Agitate and vacuum

Each run is brushed or air-whipped while under negative pressure, so what comes loose goes into the machine, not into the room. Soft bristles go on flex and fiberglass-lined duct, which the EPA specifically calls for.

About Terrell Heights

A resident's account in the San Antonio Report says most homes were built in the 1940s, and that the neighborhood also has the large Sunset Ridge Apartments.

The Northeast Inner Loop plan area is bounded by IH-410 on the north, Harry Wurzbach on the east, and Rittiman Road and the City of Terrell Hills on the south.

Air duct cleaning in Terrell Heights: what to tell us

Tell us how many supply vents and returns you have and how many systems. If you have seen dust coming out of the registers, or signs of pests or mold, say so: those are the situations the EPA describes as reasons to clean.

If your home is an older one, tell us what you know about the age of the system and the ducts.

Do you clean air ducts in Terrell Heights?

Yes, Terrell Heights is one of the San Antonio neighborhoods we serve. Tell us how many vents, returns and systems you have and we will price it.

Do I need my ducts cleaned?

Not always. The EPA does not recommend cleaning air ducts routinely, only as needed, and we will tell you if you do not need it.

How is the price worked out?

By what is actually there: the number of supply vents, returns and systems. Prices vary with the property, the type of job and the location; the exact price is confirmed before work starts.

Will duct cleaning help allergies or lower my energy bill?

We make neither claim. The EPA says duct cleaning has never been shown to actually prevent health problems, and that there is little evidence that cleaning only the ducts improves the efficiency of the system. What cleaning does is remove dust and debris from the ductwork.

If something is not right, we will re-clean at no extra charge; the terms are on Our Guarantee. The full service is described on Air Duct Cleaning. For offices, retail and multi-tenant buildings, see Commercial Air Duct Cleaning.
